New to Calvary?

There is a place for you at Calvary. You don’t need to be a “member” here to be welcome here; you are welcome here – to worship, to Holy Communion, or to any of the events, activities, or classes that we offer. We’d like you to know that Calvary is not a church made up of perfect people; it is a church made up of real people who have come to know and trust the healing, forgiving, and perfect love of God. It would be our privilege to worship God with you, to walk in God’s love at your side, and to grow with you in the direction of God’s desire that God’s love, alive in each of us, might reach out to all people through us. Welcome to Calvary!

How to find us

From South Washington St, turn east on 15th (at Wendy’s).
From Belmont or Cherry Street, turn west on either 14th or 15th.

If you need more detail, you can click on the “Map It” link on the right side of this page.

Calvary’s not hard to find, but we also don’t happen to be located on any main streets. That led one of our members to observe that perhaps our letterhead should read, “Calvary Lutheran Church – Cleverly Hidden In A Neighborhood Near You.” Truth is, if you’re in the Grand Forks area we’re not that far away, and we’re actually pretty easy to find.

Our sanctuary and traditional worship are on the north end of the building, and our fellowship hall and contemporary worship are on the south end of the building.  In the center of the building you’ll find Holy Grounds Coffee House. Introduce yourself to any of our staff members and we’ll treat you to your favorite hot beverage!
