10th Graders and Mentors

“Faith Journey” Conversation Events

January was the “kick-off” for the 10th grade students and adult mentors to begin their faith journey together. The Archives Coffee House and Christus Rex on the UND campus were the perfect places to meet and enjoy delicious refreshments and good conversations about our faith connections. The next student/mentor conversation event is Sunday, February 13, at Red Ray Bowling Lanes at 4:00-6:00 p.m. Mark your calendars!

“Souper Bowl” of Caring -- February 6, 2011

Football has its “Super Bowl” and fans get excited. Let’s get excited about another “SOUPER BOWL.” Since 1990, youth across the US and Canada have helped make the “Souper Bowl of Caring” a hunger-fighting event around the world. Last year over 15,000 congregations collected $10 million by simply holding a “soup pot.”

This year the Calvary 5th grade Sunday School students will be among those youth. On Sunday, February 6, Calvary will participate in the “Souper Bowl of Caring” 2011. Each year we collect and give the money to charities and join the nation in making a difference in the lives of others.

During the service the 5th grade students and other children will collect your dollars like the “noisy offering” is done.

Your donations will help fund the work of the “Feed My Starving Children” project Along with your dollars we’ll be collecting canned/non-perishable food items for the local food pantries.

College Spring Break Mission Trip
March 12-17 (dates tentative) Destination: California
