Treasurer’s Report
Jeff Lancaster reported in Heather Vandervort’s absence. Her baby boy was born on 8/11/08. General giving was down 28 percent from last year; however, there was one less Sunday this July and only one Wednesday service vs. four last year. Jeff will take over Heather’s responsibilities until she returns from maternity leave. Large disbursements in July included payments for Camp Amnicon, Senior High Mission trip and Ali’s boundless Playground (from our Salad Luncheon).

Book of Faith Initiative
Bruce Storhaug reported that Eric Lunn and Janet Nelson will be leading the steering team on our new Book of Faith Initiative. Anyone interested in serving on this team should contact the church office.

Meet the Staff
Carma Hanson updated council on “Meet the Staff” plans. She had a list of questions sent to each staff member of Calvary to complete. She intends to develop a power point presentation (music and photos) with the info that could be shown in the Holy Grounds and/or Fellowship Hall.
